Growth Habits: Low growing, mound-shaped annual, up to 18 inches tall and wide (45 cm); hairy, branching stems; narrow, lanceolate leaves, 0.5 to 3 inches long (1.2-7.5 cm), up to 0.5 inch wide (12 mm).

Watering Needs: Low to moderate water, tolerates drought, heat and humidity

Propagation: Seeds

Blooming Habits:
Daisy-like yellow to burgundy flowers with a purplish-orange center, 1.6 to 2 inches wide (4-5 cm), in late spring to frost. Mexican zinnias don't require deadheading.

Propagation:
Sow in place after the last frost, or inside in containers 4 weeks before the last frost, and transplant soon after the last frost. Space plants 12 to 18 inches apart.
